Liran Tal is an experienced full stack software engineer with a strong background in Linux engineering and a passion for open source software. He specializes in developing web applications using the LAMP and MEAN technology stacks, including Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, CodeIgniter, Drupal, Node.js, AngularJS, ExpressJS, and MongoDB.
Liran has extensive knowledge of networking communication protocols and information security, and he is highly proficient in Linux server management. He also has a product-focused and entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent leadership skills, empowering and mentoring his team to achieve excellence.
Liran has served as a lead developer and active contributor to several open source software projects on GitHub, including contributing to the MEAN.JS and MEAN.io JavaScript frameworks. He is a seasoned speaker at international meetups and conferences on JavaScript, MEAN Stack, Node.js, and Open Source.
Notably, Liran has led an R&D team of 11 software engineers to build HPE Software web marketplace and pioneered the re-architecture for a full-stack Node.js and AngularJS engineering technology for the marketplace with high emphasis on reusable UI components, scalable code structure, test automation, and CI/CD integration.
Liran has also published several books, including Agile Software Development with HP Agile Manager, Drupal 7 Media, and daloRADIUS AAA User Guide. He has a certification in MongoDB for Node.js Developers and a BA in Business Information System Analysis, graduating cum laude at Ono Academic College.
Currently, Liran serves as the Director of Developer Advocacy at Snyk, Previously he worked as an Engineering Manager at Nielsen Marketing Cloud and R&D Full Stack Team Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to that, he founded Kupoya, which was later acquired by ACTU-CCI.COM, and created daloRADIUS. Earlier in his career, Liran worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Software Engineer at TELES AG, and Linux Engineer at 10Levels.
