    Line Andersen

    Line Andersen (born 1973) is a Norwegian journalist and television presenter. She is best known for her work as a sports reporter and host at NRK Sport, where she led chess broadcasts from Magnus Carlsen's first World Championship match in 2013 until 2019. She also hosted NRK's coverage of Norway's Constitution Day celebrations and various sports events. Andersen received the Norwegian Chess Federation's Gold Badge of Honor in 2018 and was nominated for awards such as the Audience Award at Gullruten 2018 and Best Female Presenter at Gullruten 2019 for her chess broadcasts.1

    In 2021, Andersen filed a labor lawsuit against NRK, alleging wrongful reassignment after being removed from on-screen roles in late 2019. The case concluded with a settlement.1 Since leaving NRK, she has participated in reality shows such as 71° nord – Norges tøffeste kjendis and Spillet, winning the latter in 2024. She also worked briefly as an associate senior advisor at the communications firm Nucleus before pursuing a master's degree in conflict mediation at the University of Copenhagen in 2024.1
