Lina Pulgarin-Duque, a talented astrophysicist and IT specialist, has joined the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics to help keep Chandra X-ray Observatory in top form for scientific research. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied Physics and Dramaturgy, Pulgarin-Duque has also worked as a research assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York and Louisiana State University Center For Computation and Technology. In the past, Pulgarin-Duque has served as a Senior Data Analyst, Data Specialist, and Marketing Engineer at MediaMath, and is also a documentary producer and dramaturg on the Boston theatre scene. Pulgarin-Duque is currently researching Changing Look Quasars and using Machine Learning for anomaly detection of spacecraft subsystems. With her expertise and skills, she is committed to helping physicists achieve the scientific results they seek.
