Lin Chen is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and a wealth of professional experience in technology, business, and academia.
Lin Chen holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he also completed his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. He furthered his education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago and completed his Ph.D. Thesis Research at the renowned Argonne National Laboratory.
With a strong foundation in academia, Lin Chen has held various prominent roles in different organizations. He currently serves as the Director of Supplier Engagement & Battery Technology at Powin, showcasing his expertise in the technology and energy storage sectors. Prior to this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Argonne National Laboratory and also founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Beltech, Inc.
Lin Chen has a history of leadership and innovation, evident from his role as the Founder & President of the Illinois Institute of Technology ECS Chapter. He has also been involved in impactful roles such as Research Aide & Guest Graduate Student at Argonne National Laboratory, Research Assistant at Illinois Institute of Technology, and Operational Risk Assistant at Commonwealth Bank.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Lin Chen has demonstrated his organizational and leadership skills through various campus ambassador roles at GE and Envision Energy. He has also led Social Practice Teams at prestigious institutions like the Chinese Academy of Sciences and companies including Honda, Toyota, and P&G. Additionally, Lin Chen's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from his experience as a Team Leader at the China Challenge Cup Business Plan Competition.
