Libbie Weimer

Libbie Weimer is a proficient geospatial analyst, cartographer, and data visualizer with a diverse skill set encompassing coding, design, and documentary filmmaking. Her expertise lies in crafting engaging narratives through maps, charts, videos, and web-based media, with a strong focus on environmental quality, social equity, and energy production.

Libbie pursued a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Latin American Studies at Carleton College.

Throughout her professional journey, Libbie has held various roles at esteemed organizations like the Southern Environmental Law Center, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Clean Energy Works, Environmental Defense Fund, Duke University, Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, and the Center for Urban and Regional Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Her experience spans from being a Geospatial Analyst to serving as a Consultant, Research Associate, Graduate Research Assistant, Instructor, and Associate Producer, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in different environments.

Furthermore, Libbie Weimer has contributed to the community as an AmeriCorps Member, Research Scholar, and ACT Volunteering Center Student Coordinator at Carleton College, highlighting her commitment to social service and academic engagement.
