Liang Wang is a highly accomplished technology and product development leader with over 50 U.S. patents and applications, 50 publications, and 2 book chapters under his belt. With extensive experience in various frontier fields including medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, CMOS and MEMS, among others, Liang's expertise covers R&D through manufacturing.
Having studied Physics both in Nanjing University and Kansas State University, Liang holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Nanotechnology from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with an impressive 3.94/4.00. Today, Liang leads innovation and product development as Sr. Director of Process and Technology Development at Exo, overseeing a team responsible for the full cycle from R&D through production, including cross-functional team lead, program management, risk control, and more. His strength in team building has made him excel at planning and directing multiple projects simultaneously.
Liang's career history includes leadership roles such as Head of BU Packaging Solutions at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Senior Product Development Engineer at AMD, and Senior Staff Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, among others. In his current role, he focuses primarily on medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, packaging, MEMS, and 3DIC, among other fields.
