Lian Ouyang

Lian Ouyang is a seasoned patent attorney with over a decade of experience in patent prosecution and counseling across various technology sectors, including pharmaceutics, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, nanotechnology, semiconductors, and medical instruments.

Her expertise lies in intellectual property law, patent prosecution, IP strategy and counseling, agreements, IP due diligence, as well as in specialized fields like pharmaceutics, polymers, nanotechnology, materials science, and semiconductors.

She holds a J.D. in Intellectual Property from Northeastern University School of Law, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University, an M.A. in Chemistry from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University.

Previously, Lian Ouyang has held key roles such as Global Franchise Head, R&D IP at MSD within Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), and has worked as an Associate at Cooley LLP, a Senior Patent Attorney, Patent Attorney II, and in other capacities at NIBR, as well as having experience at firms like Mintz Levin, Occhiuti Rohlicek & Tsao LLP, and Fish & Richardson P.C.
