Education has played a crucial role in Leslie's development, holding degrees ranging from an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Communication Design to a Master's Degree in Fashion Studies. Additionally, Leslie has pursued studies in Advanced Japanese and completed a double major in Political Science & Japanese.

Throughout Leslie's career, various roles have been undertaken, such as serving as a Teaching Assistant at Parsons School of Design, an Exhibition Dresser at the Museum of the Moving Image, and a Freelance Fashion Writer at Singapore Press Holdings.
