Leonid Pekar

Leonid Pekar is a seasoned project manager with a rich background in the financial sector and global consulting companies. He studied Applied Mathematics with a focus on Cybernetics at the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics and received certification in ICP (ICAgile Certified Professional) and Project Management Expert (PMBOKGuide 5th Edition) from ScrumTrek and PMExpert, respectively.

Leonid's career started out as a technical support service engineer at Net By Net holding, Moscow, where he gained experience in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving complex technical issues. He moved on to work at Amphora Group, where he successfully served as a QA engineer, functional analyst, and test engineer. Afterwards, he brought his skills to Accenture, where he was a business analyst and project manager. He later took up the role of IT Business Partner at OTP Bank, where he designed and implemented a robust IT governance framework that remained the benchmark for service delivery across multiple locations.

Leonid's career progression continued as he worked at Alfa-Bank as a senior QA specialist and systems analyst. He later took up a management role at the Moscow Exchange, where he managed project portfolios and maintained relationships with key stakeholders. Prior to joining the VTB, he worked at the FG BCS as a strategic project manager responsible for managing the global implementation of complex IT systems.

Presently, Leonid Pekar is a Senior Project Manager at VTB, where he manages the delivery of large-scale projects across multiple locations, business units, teams, and vendors. With over ten years of experience in project management, he has proven himself to be a result-driven manager with exceptional communication and analytical skills, as well as strengths in risk management, quality assurance, and change management.
