Combike is a collaboration between designers Huibert Groenendijk and Leon van Spijk 
and focuses on research, development and realization of personal mobility solutions based on direct pedal drive in the wheel. The advantages are numerous and the technological integrations in the e-bike market segment far enough to present feasible concepts to consumers. Good design and a strong brand produce profit. Brands with a social value, brands which represent products of value for society can generate much more profit that of competitors. We help our customers to develop such brands. We do this using our design talents and creativity. Huhtamaki is the world leader in environmentally friendly molded fibre and pulp packaging, producing egg packaging, fruit trays and berry boxes, apple and melon trays, wine bottle carriers, can carriers, diary trays and medical disposables. For Huhtamaki’s Food Service division cup carriers and the premium Chinet® disposable tableware are manufactured, the latter in a special, proprietary moulding process.

Since its invention in 1970 by Henri Peteri, the Quooker boiling water tap has developed as an indispensable tool in kitchens around the world. The brand is the benchmark for a smart and responsible way of boiling and fizzing water in as many kitchens as possible, During this period I have especially collaborated on projects in the areas of innovative user controls operation and more sustainable packaging.

Spiked Cycles

Our working field moved from high-end mountainbikes (Lapierre) to premium pedelecs together with Brose / BMZ and ID-Bike.
Today and certainly tomorrow consumers are looking for brands and products with dept of meaning, not just products in the middle but remarkable stuff, that clearly stands-out from the rest. We see pedelecs today where mountain bikes were 15 years ago. Pedelecs seek for better: performance, design, integration and clear focus. True innovations based on real user and usage experiences.

SPIKED Cycles will  a new radical E-bike brand. We (Roos Knoppert and Leon van Spijk) take care of the general management together with brand- and product development.

Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 world leader in motion and control technology. For more than 100 years, the company has driven customer success in a wide range of diversified 
industrial and aerospace markets. We worked with the management team to reposition and bring renewed focus to the air filtration division. In addition, we were able to help Parker with their first plug and play Nitrogen generator for garages.

SR Suntour is manufacturer and developing many unique items for various segments of the bicycle market. 
We support them in general with our passionate holistic bike feeling and Dutch commuting knowledge. 
Within the international R&D team we try hard to become more design and innovation driven. 
We work on forks, chainwheels and complete e-bike systems.

Strategic Design, Branding & Art Direction on freelance base

The very first exercise bike was ‘designed in Finland’. It marked the beginning of today’s professional
fitness market. In 1969 Tunturi was the pioneer in this field and has been the leading innovator ever 
since, offering a healthy, safe and comfortable workout. From cardio fitness to the home treadmill, all 
in the comfort of your own home, where the exercise bikes is still very popular. From 2003-2007 we've optimized all product lines, since then we support Tunturi with their design challences.

We worked as freelance designers for Cycles Lapierre in Dijon France for about 13 years. We helped building the brand from the very beginning.
We developed some great bike collections in close collaboration with Emmanuel Antonot and more very passionate bike freaks.

In 2004 We realised together with Magnitude-architectures a new Showroom and offices as a pure brand execution.

We thank the management of Cycles-Lapierre for the faith in our small agency and the wonderfull years together.
