Leon Backes

Leon Backes is the founder of Provident Realty Advisors, established in 1991, specializing in developing and investing in challenging real estate projects with a focus on above-market returns through creative development approaches.

With over $4 billion in real estate investments and developments, Backes has initiated partnerships targeting mixed-use and multifamily properties, retail spaces for major corporations like Albertson's, Target, Lowe's, and Walmart, land acquisitions, self-storage facilities, mall and manufacturing facility renovations, and industrial building portfolios.

His expertise spans various real estate sectors including multifamily, single family rentals, master planned communities, industrial properties, extended stay hotels, retail spaces, and self-storage facilities. Recognized for his contributions, he was inducted into the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors Hall of Fame in 2021.

Leon Backes pursued studies in Business, Marketing, Finance, and Real Estate at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He currently serves as the Chairman and Founder of Provident Realty Advisors and previously worked as a Partner at Backes and Platt Investments, and gained experience in real estate through an Associate/Training Program at Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate.
