Leo Colley
Research Leader - Flat Processing at ArcelorMittal Dofasco
Leo Colley is a highly educated and experienced professional in the field of Materials Engineering. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Materials Engineering and a Master of Science (MSc), Metals and Materials Engineering from The University of British Columbia, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea.
Colley has held various research positions in different organizations, including his current role as Research Leader – Flat Processing at ArcelorMittal Dofasco, where he oversees the development of new metal processing technologies. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Researcher – Flat Processing at the same company, as well as a Research Engineer – Materials & Process Engineering at Dana Holding Corporation and a Research Metallurgist at Novelis. He has also served as a Research Assistant & Sessional Lecturer at The University of British Columbia and as a Researcher at the University of Oxford.
Colley has developed significant expertise in materials science, metal processing, and metallurgy throughout his career. He is passionate about developing new technologies to improve the production and processing of metals and enjoys sharing his knowledge through lecturing and research.
