Shell House,” both of which were featured in the 2018 Spring Journal of the Puget Sound Maritime Association's esteemed “Sea Chest quarterly.” Moreover, Lenville has ventured into literature with his forthcoming book “Open Water,” which delves into the interconnected themes of rowing, culture, and politics during the mid-1950s.

    Coaching Journey

    Lenville’s personal affinity for rowing has been a significant influence in his professional life, having initially rowed at the University of Washington during a pivotal era in the sport. After a three-decade break, he reignited his passion at Green Lake in Seattle and subsequently joined the Pocock Rowing Center. His commitment to coaching began in 2012 with a stint as the interim head coach at the Ancient Mariners Rowing Club, where he eventually ascended to head coach of the PRC Senior Masters Women’s team. His coaching repertoire encompasses all levels of sculling and sweep classes and programs, catering to athletes from junior to pre-elite levels.

    In 2018, Lenville relocated to Olympia, WA, where he is now flourishing as a coach within the junior rowing program at the Olympia Area Rowing Association (O.A.R). Lenville's extensive experience positions him as an invaluable resource in the coaching arena, fostering young talent through mentorship and his comprehensive understanding of the sport.
