Leila Sinclaire

Leila Sinclaire is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in education, writing, and consulting.

As the founder of Sparkjoy Consulting, Leila has been actively freelancing since 2015, leveraging her background and skills in a variety of educational settings.

With close to two decades of teaching experience, Leila has worked in diverse environments, ranging from private elementary schools in San Francisco Bay Area to public high schools in Lower Manhattan.

Specializing in slam poetry, Responsive Classroom methodology, curriculum design, and teacher supervision, Leila brings a unique blend of expertise to her work.

Her educational journey includes a BA in English and Religious Studies from Stanford University, an MA in Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MA in Integrated Arts and Education from the University of Montana.

Leila's passion for education is evident through her involvement in various organizations, including roles such as First Grade Head Teacher at Black Pine Circle School, Seventh Grade Humanities teacher at Prospect Sierra School, and Kindergarten teacher at Prospect Sierra School.

She has also contributed as a Tenth/Eleventh Grade Student Teacher at the Institute of Media and Writing, 8th Grade Humanities Teacher at Little Red School House, and Ninth Grade Student Teacher at NYC Lab School.
