Lee Tilghman

Lee Tilghman is a Managing Director at The Dietrich Foundation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He joined the foundation in May 2015 and focuses on manager selection and portfolio monitoring, with a particular interest in private equity and emerging managers.123 Before joining The Dietrich Foundation, Tilghman worked as a Transaction Associate with BNY Mellon's Global Corporate Development team, where he analyzed acquisitions, divestitures, and early-stage financial technology investments.12

Prior to his corporate career, Tilghman served as a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division.12 He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.12 In addition to his professional responsibilities, Tilghman is active in civic and community service, serving on the Executive Board of the Laurel Highlands Council Boy Scouts of America and the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission.13 Recently, he began his first term as a member of the Thiel College Board of Trustees.1
