Working within the the Product Development team to design, develop, implement and document solutions, mainly focusing on the customer integration platform, AudaConnect.

Liaise with the product teams to clarify, refine and agree project requirements, implementing scalable, secure and reliability solutions. Working with the Test and Support Departments to identify and resolve defects.

In 2015 I was promoted to a senior development role, where I am able to make more of an impact on the design and development within my team. During this time we also moved into a more microservice architecture developing business critical apps using the Microsoft stack, include Azure, as well as other technologies such as RabbitMQ and EventStore. During this time I have also been able to start working with the .Net Compiler Platform (Roslyn).

In 2013 I moved to HRG (renamed to Fraedom in 2015) to take up a Software Development position, working within a scrum team. My primarily role was to develop middleware solutions using a combination of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Workflow Foundation (WF4), to handle long running processes, SQL Server and web based front ends using ASP.Net MVC4.

In 2007 I was promoted into a senior development role. In addition to my previous Application Development role, I had additional responsibilities including technical analysis, product review and security analysis. The customer base included Barclays Bank, NatWest and RBS Bank, Lloyds Bank, Thomas Cook, Tesco, ASDA and Sainsburys.

This focused on the development and support of business critical applications. The applications I developed dealt with order capture (with the web based applications capturing over 1 million transactions each year), back end processing, financial reconciliation, exchange rate generation and distribution software.

In this role I was the team leader for three members of the Customer Services team primarily dealing with financial account related queries. The main customers at the time included Barclays Bank, First Rate and Apple Booking Company.

Barclays Transpay was the Foreign Exchange arm of Barclays Bank. In this role I dealt with foreign account settlement and reconciliation for Barclays Bank and it’s third party customers.
