Leah Garrett

Leah Garrett is a highly skilled leader and manager who has made significant contributions through her business ventures and political campaigns.

As the founder and owner of Olive Loom, Leah has empowered women in Arkansas by providing training and support to improve their financial well-being, particularly during the pandemic where the company produced and donated thousands of masks.

Leah's extensive organizing experience spans across various states including Florida, Arkansas, Virginia, Indiana, New Hampshire, and Michigan.

Her political journey started as an organizer for Hillary for America and later took on roles in the Virginia Coordinated Campaign, eventually becoming a Regional Field Director for Senator Tim Kaine and the Virginia Coordinated Campaign.

Leah's expertise was further demonstrated as a Regional Field Director for Senator Amy Klobuchar's presidential campaign, where she efficiently coordinated operations in half of New Hampshire.

She played a pivotal role as Campaign Manager for Michigan House Representative Jim Haadsma in a crucial swing district during the 2020 election cycle, achieving success even where the presidential candidate did not.

Leah's educational background includes a Master's degree in Political Management from The George Washington University, a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government focusing on Comparative Politics and Latin American Studies from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with International Relations and European Studies, including German language, also from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Her past affiliations include roles as Regional Field Director at the Democratic Party of Virginia, Chief Executive Officer and President at Olive Loom, Field Organizer at the Democratic Party of Virginia, and various organizing positions at political campaigns like Hillary For America, Amy For America, and others.
