Lea Ferguson

Lea Maria Ferguson is a specialist in Open Science, currently serving as a Referentin für Open Science at the Helmholtz Open Science Office, which is part of the Helmholtz Association in Germany. Her work focuses on promoting open science practices within the research community, facilitating access to scientific knowledge, and enhancing collaboration among researchers.

In addition to her role at the Helmholtz Open Science Office, she has experience as a tutor in Problem-Based Learning at the University College Maastricht, where she taught courses related to academic writing, literature and media studies, and contemporary history.13

Ferguson is based in the Berlin Metropolitan Area and actively contributes to discussions and initiatives surrounding open science, aiming to improve transparency and accessibility in research.23
