Lea-Ann B. Bigelow
Lea-Ann Bigelow, an agile and forward-thinking professional, has a distinguished career spanning over two decades in various sectors like private, non-profit, and Federal management. She possesses unique expertise in operations, technology, law enforcement, risk management, organizational development, investment banking, private equity, and strategy consulting. Her career began with C.W. Downer & Co., where she served as an Investment Analyst & Marketing Director before honing her skills as a Senior Associate at Thayer Street Partners.
She gradually moved up the ladder, serving as the Business Manager/Editor at Indiana Review and the Manager of Planning & Budget at The National Gallery. She further honed her skills and expertise as the Business Officer (Director of Enforcement Operations) at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where her responsibilities included providing strategic guidance to enhance the enforcement capacity of the commission. She also worked as a Director, Performance and Risk Management, overseeing the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) and as Deputy Director, Performance Strategy & Systems at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Lea-Ann served as a Fellow at the American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) and an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University, following which she served as the Director of Interagency Collaboration - Office of Trade at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where she developed world-class practices in governance, planning, and performance improvement.
In addition to her economics degree from The Wharton School, she also holds an MA in Art History from Indiana University Bloomington, an achievement that speaks to her diverse interests outside her professional life. Through her diverse experience, she has earned recognition for her intrapreneurial orientation, ability to build coalitions, and effective diplomacy, propelling her to pursue strategic and equitable outcomes and smart innovation.
