Lazaros Papadopoulos is a prominent figure in the European basketball scene turned renewable energy and IT entrepreneur. With his 17-year career in the European professional basketball league and nine years representing the Greek National Team, he obtained a total of 10 titles, including five at a European level.
Upon retiring from basketball in 2014, Lazaros found a new passion in the renewable energy sector, founding Promitheas Energy SA and investing in his first solar energy projects. Today, Promitheas Energy has grown into a group of RES companies responsible for a total of 70M of investments.
Not one to stand still, Lazaros has also founded three IT startups and is currently the CEO of Athlenda.com, a platform connecting basketball players with coaches and scouts worldwide. He has honed his mentoring and leadership skills throughout his career as a professional athlete, making him proficient in team dynamics and excellent in project completion.
