Underwriter

As an underwriter my primary relationships are with our customers and agents.  In addition to being a resource for agents about eligibility and system protocols, I also work with agents to analyze both new and existing business policies to determine their risk exposure.  Assessing the proper risk exposure is pivotal to ensure that our customer has the best coverage for the best price.  This not only helps us provide remarkable customer service but positively impacts the company’s book of business.

Through the efforts of volunteers and program specialists I was able to act as a scouting liaison to promising youth in at-risk situations.  Working with local schools and community centers/clubs, I was able to speak to young kids and give them an opportunity to try scouting where they might not have otherwise gotten that chance. From organizing cook-outs to speaking in classrooms, I spent my time speaking to 1st - 4th grade kids to get them excited about the activities they could do in Scouting and how to sign up. Other times I spoke with principals and other program directors about how the older youth could be involved in Scouting.
