Laurie Myers

Director, ESG Strategy and Engagement at Merck

Laurie A. Myers, Ph.D., is the Chief Operating Officer at Cingulate Therapeutics, a role she has held since October 2017. She is also a founding member of the company’s Board of Directors, which she served on from June 2013 to June 2018. Dr. Myers has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked in various leadership positions across research, development, marketing, and commercialization. Her therapeutic expertise includes areas such as neurology/psychiatry, cardiovascular disease/thrombosis, and osteoarthritis.1

Before joining Cingulate Therapeutics, Dr. Myers held significant roles at leading pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, DuPont, Pfizer, and Sanofi. Her accomplishments in these positions have earned her recognition such as the Health 2.0 Outstanding Leadership Award in 2022 and being named among the Top 100 Brand Champions by Pharma Voice.1

In addition to her corporate roles, Dr. Myers is actively involved in community service and supports organizations that address social and academic needs for at-risk youth in Kansas City. She joined the Board of Directors for Youth R.I.S.E Kansas City in 2021.1

Dr. Myers holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Scranton, a Ph.D. in Toxicology from Rutgers University, and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing from Saint Joseph's University.1
