Lauren Picado, a dedicated and ambitious individual, is currently a Master's student at New York University, majoring in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Digital Signal Processing and Power Systems. Hailing from a family without prior Bachelor's degree holders, she is set to become the first in her family to obtain both a Bachelor's and soon a Master's degree. During her undergraduate years at Florida Atlantic University, Lauren and her team won the best project award at the Senior Design Showcase for their innovative epilepsy alert device. This device is capable of detecting seizures, sending alerts to pre-set emergency contacts with GPS location via a mobile application, while also storing crucial data in the cloud for medical reference. Her ultimate goal is to secure a rewarding full-time position post-graduation.
