Oakland Digital — Digital Literacy. Opportunity. Tech Inclusion. 

An award-winning, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) design studio for good, Oakland Digital trains community college students (ages 18-34) to create social marketing campaigns for under-resourced small business owners (predominantly women of color, ages 40+). Oakland Digital is building the next pipeline of employable designers by providing student mentoring and training with tech and business professionals (e.g., Google, Twitter, Clorox Co.), along with real-world work experience with Bay Area businesses. Our tech inclusion initiatives inspire youth (ages 18-25) to explore tech career options based on their passions and diversity of life experiences. 

Since 2009, Oakland Digital has directly impacted the lives of nearly 4,000 Oakland and East Bay students and entrepreneurs. Our programs have boosted the local economy by $3.2 million, leading to opportunities for 21st century employment and economic independence.
