Throughout her career, Laurel has been actively involved in various organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for institutions like Siskin Hospital, United Way of Greater Nashville, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, and TennGreen Land Conservancy. She has held roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, including Regional Executive & Senior Officer, AVP & Deputy Regional Executive, and Director of the Regional Economic Information Network. Laurel has also contributed her expertise as a board member and advisor for entities like the International Women's Forum, Tennessee State University, and Leadership Middle Tennessee, Inc.
