Laura Wilkes

Laura Wilkes is an experienced professional with a background in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) for over 10 years.
She has significant experience in various TESOL settings, including teaching students of all ages in China, training teachers in Russia, and facilitating online courses for TESOL staff globally.
Currently working at English for Asia, Laura is actively involved in training teachers on the Trinity CertTESOL course and tutoring Trinity DipTESOL trainees.
In her role as a DipTESOL Course Director, she assesses Teaching Practice, grades Teaching Journals, and assists trainees in preparing for the Phonology interview.
Apart from teacher training, Laura also plays a key role in developing and managing e-learning at EFA, curating online resources, collaborating with the team for multimedia content creation, and managing online self-study training courses.
Laura holds a CELTA certification and a Diploma in TESOL with distinctions in Phonology and Teaching components.
She recently graduated with a distinction in PGCE in Learning Technologies from the University of Leicester, where she focuses on enhancing teaching and training through technology research.
