Laura Tuohilampi

Laura Tuohilampi, also known as Laura the Maths Buster, is a mathematics education influencer, postdoc researcher, and lecturer focused on making mathematics engaging and approachable.

With a background in Doctor in Education with a specialization in Mathematics Education and a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki, Laura is a well-rounded professional in the field.

Currently serving as a Research Fellow at UNSW in Sydney, Australia, Laura also holds the position of Associate Professor in Mathematics Education at the University of Helsinki, where she leverages her expertise to showcase the human side of learning mathematics.

Her extensive experience includes roles such as a former University Lecturer at University of Jyväskylä, Researcher in Mathematics Education at the University of Helsinki, and a Mathematics teacher at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
