Laura Thomas

Laura Thomas is currently training with the NHS Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust to become an Education Mental Health Practitioner, responsible for delivering interventions to children and young people in Shropshire.

Laura's academic background includes studying MRes Biology and achieving a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Conservation Biology with 1st Class Honours, both from the University of Lincoln.

She has gained professional experience in various organizations, starting as a Research Volunteer and Field Assistant at the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge.

Laura has also served as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, and held roles such as Science Communicator at Archimedes Science Museum, Duty Manager Science Communicator at Cambridge Science Centre, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Lincoln.

Additionally, she has contributed as a former Student and College Ambassador at the University of Lincoln, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to education and mental health.

Her journey exemplifies a blend of academic knowledge, practical experience, and a passion for supporting mental health and education initiatives.
