Laura Schoutsen

Laura Schoutsen is a professional with a diverse academic background, holding a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Criminal Law and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Criminology from Universiteit Leiden.

During her career, Laura has worked in various roles, including as a Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Justice and Security, Researcher in Criminal Law at Universiteit Leiden, and Editor at Wolters Kluwer's 'Tijdschrift Praktijkwijzer Strafrecht.'

Her experience also includes teaching criminal law at Universiteit Leiden, serving as a Senior Legal Officer in criminal law at the Amsterdam Court of Appeals, and interning at the Ministry of Security and Justice.

Laura has been actively involved in student associations and academic committees, holding positions such as Student Representative on the Institute Board of Criminal Law & Criminology at Universiteit Leiden and Chair of the Lustrum Committee at JFV Grotius.
