Laura Klein is the Pro Bono Program Manager at the Office for Access to Justice within the U.S. Department of Justice. She has held this position since April 2002, overseeing initiatives that encourage federal government attorneys to engage in pro bono work.12 Before her current role, she served as Senior Counsel in the Office of Legal Policy at the Department of Justice from July 2000 to April 2002, and as a Trial Attorney at both the Federal Election Commission and the Office of Immigration Litigation.1
Klein's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.1 Her work focuses on expanding pro bono opportunities for federal attorneys, facilitating partnerships with legal services organizations, and organizing events to promote volunteer legal work.23
