Dr. Laura Gonzalez-Murphy is an expert in Global Immigration Flows, Comparative Policies, U.S.-Mexico Relations/Immigration Policy, Mexican Immigration Law and Policy, and Civil Society. She pursued her PhD in Comparative Politics/International Relations at the University at Albany, SUNY. Laura has held prominent roles such as Director of NY State Immigration Policy and Research at the NY State Department of State, Director of NYS Immigration Policy and Research, Director of the Office for New Americans at New York State, and Research Assistant Professor at the New York State Research Foundation/SUNY at Albany. Her experience also includes being an Empire State Fellow at the Department of State and a Fellow/Adjunct Professor at the Research Foundation/SUNY at Albany.
