Laura Donovan, Founder of Sonder Financial
Laura Donovan is the Founder of Sonder Financial, a financial services firm based in the Greater New York City Area. She launched Sonder Financial in June 2019 with the goal of creating a more inclusive and accessible environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds can feel empowered to take control of their financial futures.12
Prior to founding Sonder Financial, Laura worked as a Financial Representative at TrueNorth Financial Solutions from June 2014 to June 2019, where she specialized in helping professional women, women-owned businesses, and young professionals achieve their financial goals.1
Laura holds a double major in Russian Literature & Language and Theatre Arts from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with High Honors in Theatre Arts.1 She also directed an honors thesis titled "Summer at Yasnaya Polyana" from January 2012 to March 2013.1
In addition to her work at Sonder Financial, Laura has held various other roles, including Project Coordinator for the Hungarian Leadership Initiative at the Center for International Theatre Development and Fellow at the Trust for Mutual Understanding.1
