System Administrator / Production Systems Engineer 

I am currently employed as system administrator. My normal daily duties are monitor ticket place into the teams trays who can do the work. Work with MAC, Lynx and windows operating systems from building the machine to trouble shooting problems, which may accor. I also order equipment for members of staff for example software, hardware etc from suppliers. I use a lot of lynx commands to for setting up users, dhcp etc.

Bright Technology contacted me after leaving them in March 2013 asking me to return to work for them as a Service Delivery Supervisor. My duties are as I am the first person in the office is to start work on the service desk. I check our monitoring software (n-able) to make sure all our customer equipment is up, running and operating correctly. If there is any equipment for example servers which are not operating correctly I will contact the customer to ask them to check their equipment on site and also run some trouble shooting programs with them. I organise the engineer’s time for proactive tickets. I arrange a client site visit and book this in the engineer’s diary. I also let the customer know if the work is chargeable or not. I check all the engineers’ tickets to make sure they are being worked correctly and if it had been open a long time I will escalate to another engineer. If customers have any issues with work being carried out or require an update on any outstanding work the customer contacts me directly.

I was employed as a 2nd line engineer. My normal daily duties included raising tickets for clients to access various data centres in London so they were able to access and maintain their equipment. I used citrix to remove users which may have frozen during their sessions and also used to set up new users to be able to connect to citrix.

I was employed as a First Line Engineer and on occasions dealing with 2nd Line Engineer queries.  

My normal daily duties include server maintenance on all the companies computer and servers to make sure they are up to date with anti-virus software’s, windows updates, making sure back ups are working as effectively as they should be, checking memory space and increasing the memory where required, installing printers on customer machines, fixing printer problems, setting up SFTP sites, building laptop and desktop pc’s, roll out anti-virus software to companies through a monitor program called n-able(n-central), set up users on AD, Microsoft exchange, Google mail with outlook. I have experience working with MAC’s, building them, and installing applications, network printers.  I also have experience in using BES admin to activate blackberries with emails for all our customers.

Reason for leaving made redundant due to company being taken over. 
Hosted Revolution Company is a provider of Enterprise Hosted Solutions which included Remote Desktop access to your day to day work no matter where you are located around the world. Each individual customer’s requirements are designed to suit the nature of their business and personnel needs. 
Set up users on Active Directory – for user when logging into the network and on remote desktop connections (terminal servers). 
Set up e-mail accounts on simply mail solutions and cobweb control panel. With these control panels I would set the e-mail account and also give it permission for example: distribution group, alias, send as permissions, forward and rules. 
I carried out daily checks on servers every morning for customers making sure the disk management space on the server was ok and also used Attix 5 consoles to check that all backup runs from the night before had no problems
I was responsible for looking after the phone support for most of the customers by using the control panels voice net solutions and I Hub. I also configured the phones with phone numbers, voicemail, special phone features (pickup, forward, speed dial and internal extension number dial). I also ordered the phones number for the customers sites and made sure they were set up on the partition with all the rest of the customers. 
I have also visited customer sites to rebuild PC’s, fix phone problems and install new equipment at the site. I spent 4 months at a customer’s site everyday looking after over 100 users making sure phones where programmed, correct hunt group, extension mobility was enabled. Also setting up printers on the network and local, fixing virus problems, slow network issues and fixing error message on new software’s installed for recruitments agencies. I also set up 30 blackberries with BES e-mail accounts.
