Lata Krishnan

Lata Krishnan is a prominent technology entrepreneur, startup investor, and philanthropist, serving as a Board Member and the current Co-Chair of the American India Foundation (AIF). She has extensive experience in finance and business management, which she developed during her early career at Arthur Andersen in the UK and Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. Krishnan co-founded Smart Modular Technologies, where she served as Chief Financial Officer and led the company through a public offering.12

In addition to her role at AIF, Krishnan is involved with several other organizations. She is a member of the Stanford Health Care Board, where she contributes to the governance of Stanford Hospital. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Silicon Valley Bank Financial Group and is a Senior Advisory Board Member of the London School of Economics' South Asia Centre.13 Her philanthropic efforts focus on education, support for at-risk children and families, cancer research, and women's economic empowerment.23

Krishnan holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the London School of Economics and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.13
