Lasell Whipple is a seasoned production director with over 25 years of experience in publishing, project and staff management. With extensive experience supervising the production of over 2800 books, multi-component packages, ebooks, enhanced ebooks, eshorts, and online ancillaries, she has managed an annual composition budget of over $1 million. With a passion for quality, process improvement, and creative problem-solving, Lasell is known for her diplomacy, insight, and collaborative teamwork. Her expertise includes hiring, developing, and collaborating with freelance vendors as well as natural editing, designing, and group facilitation. Lasell has studied Art History at Yale University, continuing education, the Stanford University Professional Publishing Course, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA.

As Vice President of Design and Production at Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Inc., Lasell has been responsible for overseeing the design and production of many notable books. In the past, she has worked at John Wiley and Sons, Jossey-Bass, and as Developmental Editor, Senior Production Editor, and Production Editor. Lasell has a passion for quality work and process development, and she's always looking for ways to improve operations and collaboration in the publishing industry.
