    Lars Kulik is a Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne, with a strong background in integrating spatial information into pervasive computing systems.

    With research interests in data privacy, cyber security, deep learning, artificial intelligence, time series analysis, spatial algorithms, and fast search techniques, Lars has an overarching goal of creating user-centric services based on location and context.

    Prior to his current position, Lars Kulik served as Deputy Head of the Department at the University of Melbourne and worked as an associate graduate faculty researcher at the University of Maine.

    He completed his Dr rer. nat. (PhD equivalent) in Informatics at the University of Hamburg in 2002.
