    Larry Thi is a candidate pursuing a master of public administration and a master of science in education policy at the University of Pennsylvania. His academic focus is on college access, success, and program differentiation for first-generation and low-income students.

    Currently, Larry works as a Program Associate at the Philadelphia Academy of School Leaders, overseeing communication, events, and operations. He previously held leadership roles at 12+, an education nonprofit in Philadelphia, managing staff, programs, and operations.

    Moreover, Larry founded the Cooke Alumni Association, connecting over 1,200 Cooke Scholar Alumni worldwide for professional networking, social activities, and community service. He is the first Cooke Scholar to be employed at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, earning recognition for his contributions to alumni relations.

    Active in his community, Larry serves on boards and volunteers with various organizations, including the 27th Ward Democratic Executive Committee, Philadelphia’s Board of Elections, and the Cooke Alumni Association. A proud Philadelphia native, Larry holds undergraduate degrees from the Community College of Philadelphia and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    His educational journey includes an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Behavioral Science from the Community College of Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Larry is a recipient of the Cooke Scholar Graduate and Undergraduate Transfer programs and a Carolina Covenant Scholar.
