Larissa Naylor

Larissa Naylor is a highly accomplished geomorphologist with extensive experience at the intersection of biota-geomorphology-geology, green infrastructure, coastal adaptation, and science-policy-practice. She has focused her work on ecological engineering, coastal processes, dynamics, and the effects of extreme storms. Her expertise has been utilized by industry and policy-makers, and she has written award-winning policy guidance on ecological enhancement of hard coastal structures. Larissa has also contributed significantly to the field of climate change, having reviewed for the IPPC's 4th Climate Change Assessment and helped establish the Marine Climate Change Impacts Partnership (MCCIP).

Larissa's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography and Ecology with a 1st Class Major from the University of Victoria and a D.Phil in Geography from the University of Oxford. She has held several academic positions, ranging from Lecturer to Reader, and is currently a Professor of Geomorphology and Environmental Geography at the University of Glasgow.
