Lara Goldmark holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics, Finance, and Latin American Studies from The Johns Hopkins University, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government and French from Wesleyan University.

With a rich organizational background, Lara Goldmark previously served as the Vice President of Economic Growth at DAI, the Director of Private Sector Innovations at FHI360, Senior Advisor at FSG, Technical Area Manager in Private Sector Development at Development Alternatives Inc, Chief of Party for Improving the Business Climate in Morocco at DAI, and as a Consultant in Microenterprise at the Inter American Development Bank.
