Executive Director at The Birthday Party Project
Lara Gaither is the Executive Director of The Birthday Party Project (TBPP), an organization that brings joy to homeless children through birthday celebrations.3 She has held this position since October 2013.2 Prior to her role at TBPP, Gaither served as a Director at Genesis Women's Shelter.2 Currently, she also works as a Corporate Social Responsibility Consultant.2
The Birthday Party Project, under Gaither's leadership, throws 31 parties monthly in a dozen U.S. markets, including cities like Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.1 The organization serves 12 locations in North Texas alone, ranging from Dallas' Ronald McDonald House to Fort Worth's Union Gospel Mission.1
Gaither has emphasized the significant impact of these celebrations, stating, "The impact for a child who is unsheltered and uncelebrated is enormous".15 Under her guidance, TBPP has celebrated thousands of birthdays, bringing joy to children who might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience a birthday party.14
