Lakshman Swamy is a highly experienced Medical Director at MassHealth with a focus on Payment & Care Delivery Innovation. He is a pulmonary/critical care physician at Cambridge Health Alliance, bringing a unique perspective to his work.

Lakshman has a strong educational background, including an MBA in Health Care from Raj Soin School of Business at Wright State University and completion of Internal Medicine & Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine training at Boston Medical Center & VA Boston.

He is passionate about addressing care delivery challenges and improving working environments to combat burnout while enhancing patient outcomes. In his free time, Lakshman is also the creator of Critical Care: The Game, a card game centered around ICU medicine.

Throughout his career, Lakshman Swamy has been actively involved in various organizations and roles, including being an Expert Advisor at Public Schools of Brookline and serving in leadership positions at American Thoracic Society, Massachusetts Medical Society, IHI, and other prominent healthcare institutions.

With a diverse background that includes roles such as Chief Medical Resident, Resident Trustee, Research Technician, and more, Lakshman Swamy brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape to his current positions.
