Lai Chua has a rich and successful background in the IT industry, with experience in end-user and vendor IT environments. He has made significant contributions to various organizations, including OUB, Barclays Bank, BII, and Maybank, through IT transformation projects such as Multi-Channel Banking, Model Core Bank, ATM/Payment Switch Migration, and Shared Services Programme. His expertise spans technical solutioning, project delivery, business case justification, and financial management.

Throughout his career, Lai Chua has been involved in the design, development, and implementation of numerous systems and solutions, ranging from Retail Internet & Mobile Banking to Predictive Intent User Suggestion System. He possesses a strong understanding of enterprise business and technology architecture best practices.

Lai Chua excels in managing internal and external stakeholders by leveraging his business acumen, consulting background, and solution-selling skills to align business objectives with IT strategies. He has worked with global organizations like Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank, leading the establishment of development and competency centers across multiple locations.

In addition to his corporate roles, Lai Chua is also a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded two technology start-ups. His innovative spirit led him to establish a banking tech business for 7.5 years before venturing into Noggin, a start-up focusing on privacy-preserving Intel as-a-Service for personal data. At Noggin, he developed a business technology platform that enhances user intelligence through personal context learning, predictive user intention analysis, and personalized product recommendations.

Lai Chua's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Computer Science from Acadia University. He has held various key positions in organizations, from CTO & Co-Founder at NOGGIN.ai to Technology Advisor at a start-up VC & incubator, showcasing his diverse skill set in technology leadership, strategic consulting, and business development.
