Kyle Zhang

Kyle Zhang is a freshman at UPenn M&T studying both Wharton and Computer Science. Apart from academics, he is passionate about tennis, building, and video games. With a keen interest in various fields like Machine Learning, Data Science, Game Theory, Psychology, and Finance, Kyle aspires to blend his skills in quant, engineering, athletics, and entrepreneurship to contribute to philanthropy and make a positive impact on the world.

Before pursuing formal education, Kyle excelled as a competitive player and content creator in games like Rocket League and Valorant. His journey into computer science ignited a natural passion, leading him to explore quant roles and innovation within the gaming industry. Through enrolling at UPenn M&T, Kyle aims to mature both personally and professionally, expand his interests, and delve deeper into entrepreneurship, consulting, and pitching ideas.

Kyle's educational background includes studying at the Jerome Fisher M&T Program, earning a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Entrepreneurship & Innovation from The Wharton School, and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, majoring in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He demonstrated academic excellence with a 4.0 unweighted and 4.47 weighted GPA from Lake Oswego Senior High School and studied Computer Science at Portland Community College.

Throughout his career, Kyle has been actively involved in various organizations and roles, including serving as a Program Director at DECODE, Co-Founder, and Full Stack Developer at LineupsValorant, Quant Analyst Intern at WaterValley Capital Management, Initiator & Developer of the Covid19 Vaccine Finder website, Technology Instructor at ITeach-ILearn & CFAP Youth Council, and Comp. Bio. Research Intern at the Nan Cancer Research Lab at Oregon Health & Science University.
