Kyle Winter is a lead software engineer, experienced in building and handling third party purchase and entitlement integrations for applications. He has worked in the government sector, financial management, and video streaming applications. With expertise in Java, Scala, REST, Spring, Jersey, Play, Akka Streams, AWS, EJB 2/3, JPA, Hibernate, and Backbone.js, Winter believes in architecting for simplicity and extensibility and setting strong foundations to build a platform ecosystem around. He promotes graceful degradation during issues and outages, automated tests, proactive monitoring, and visibility into running systems.
