Built and led a team of 6 engineers to build Grammarly's first agents/actions platform. This allows users to execute conversation-adjacent tasks like finding a document or creating a JIRA ticket.

Can large language models take actions on your behalf using your browser? The answer is yes.
I consulted with AdeptAI to build their earliest version of browser workflows and automation products. We introduced a DSL (domain-specific language) that generalizes across most of the websites with a wide variety of interfaces.

Built a communication assistance platform at Grammarly that enabled beyond-correctness writing suggestions. This is the menu and all the additional suggestions and features you see when you click on the floating Grammarly button. With this, we started focusing on "effective" communication instead of just grammatically correct communication.

Built some on device and server side language models as part of this effort. One of them generalizes across multiple communication domains + outcome targets and is currently patent pending.

Worked on Grammarly's developer offering: https://developer.grammarly.com/ -- for anyone who ever wanted a Grammarly API, this was our solution.

At Monzo, I worked on various product engineering teams, leading one of the most high-performing team I worked with building joint accounts, energy switching service, contents insurance, airport lounges, and remortgaging service. At our peak, we were adding a new business line once a quarter.

I also spent some time in the growth team where we ran experiments almost every week and built a paid referral scheme.

Built brand safety controls for advertisers. These controls allow advertisers to control which contexts their ads show up in. For example, one might want to avoid advertising next to a war video.

These were sophisticated controls spanning indexing, ranking and the final ad serving layer with tight SLAs.

Facebook

Atomicles was a lifestyle learning app that served byte-sized informational content powered by a graph discovery engine.

Built a team of 6 engineers that built a scalable backend infrastructure to power the website and Android application. We also employed over 20 freelance writers to contribute high-quality content to seed the platform.

Worked in the FlowJS team (opensource: https://github.com/flowjs/flow.js)
This is a typescript alternative from Facebook. I worked on compiler performance and transpilation.

Got time to compile Facebook's entire codebase down from 50 mins to ~ 5 mins, mainly with improved heuristics of an NP-hard scheduling problem.

Wrote transpilers from typescript type definition files to flow definition files.

Software Engineering Intern

Built a machine learning system for city governments to detect public incidents from tweets while scrubbing PII (personally identifiable information).

I also built the annotation platform to collect human supervision input that was being used to continuously improve the semi-supervised model.
