Kunal Mukherjee-Chakraborty is a business leader in the eyecare/eyewear retail industry, currently serving as a direct report to the Global CEO and a member of the Global Management Team at GrandVision N.V. He is responsible for leading global eCommerce and omni-channel function, driving the digital transformation of 30 retail brands across 44 countries, including Vision Express, Apollo Optik, GrandOptical, Pearle, Opticas Lux, and more.

Prior to his current role, Kunal spent ten years growing two tech-startups that experienced successful IPOs on the London Stock Exchange. He was also a founding member of Accenture Strategy’s pioneering Digital Strategy Center of Excellence practice in Europe (EALA). He studied at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at INSEAD, where he gained a global perspective and network.

A citizen of the United Kingdom and of Indian origin, Kunal is a passionate Londoner who is currently based in Amsterdam. He believes in "access, not ownership," is outlandishly liberal, and a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community and free speech. He has lived and worked in six countries and traveled to 54 countries (and counting).
