Kuang Chen is the Co-Founder of Antara Health, a company focused on improving patient-centered healthcare through AI-assisted navigation. He has a rich background in technology and healthcare, having previously founded Captricity, an AI platform designed to enhance data capture from handwritten text. This venture stemmed from his graduate research in rural health clinics in Uganda and Tanzania, where he worked on improving data management for healthcare providers dealing with HIV treatment and community health issues.12
Chen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington. He further pursued his education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned both a Master’s and a PhD in Computer Science.23 His career includes roles as an advisor for Arc Health and Awaaz.De, as well as being a board member for Playworks. His mission revolves around democratizing data access for organizations that serve diverse populations.12
