Kristina Spantig

Kristina Spantig is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in international development.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Economics from Leipzig University and has undertaken research roles in various prestigious institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Social Science and Keio University.

Kristina also obtained Master's degrees in Economics and Business Administration and Management, General from Leipzig University, showcasing her multidisciplinary expertise.

She is currently serving as the Project Manager for Rural Youth Employment in Malawi at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where she drives impactful initiatives to empower young individuals in rural areas.

Prior to her current role, Kristina held several positions within GIZ, including Project Manager and Consultant, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable development and capacity building.

Moreover, she gained valuable experience as a Project Intern at GIZ and Research Intern at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), further enriching her knowledge in the field of international cooperation and economic growth.
