Kristin Barrett

Kristin Barrett is a seasoned executive and educator, currently serving as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) and Director of Enterprise Learning at Collective Academy, a Mexico City-based education startup.

Background and Experience

• Before joining Collective Academy, Kristin held several significant roles. She was the COO at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, where she managed the university’s incubator and prototyping lab, launched the fintech program, and oversaw the growth of the center to a team of over 50 members.1
• She also served as Vice President of 1871, one of the largest startup hubs, and as the COO of Techstars Chicago. Additionally, she worked on new ventures and corporate strategy for Redbox and started her career in management consulting at Kearney.1

Education

• Kristin earned her MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and her BS in journalism and economics from Northwestern University.1

At Collective Academy, Kristin is focused on enterprise learning, aligning with the company's mission to connect learners with collective knowledge to revolutionize the future of business and education in Latin America.2

Personal Interests

In her free time, Kristin is working on improving her Spanish and managing the challenges of raising twin toddlers.1
