Kris Sarri

Kris Sarri is a seasoned Executive with a wealth of experience in environmental public policy and budgeting. With a strong background in Government, Coalitions, Policy Analysis, Strategic Planning, and Community Development, Kris has established herself as a proficient professional in the field.
Kris completed her Master of Science (MS) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees in Natural Resources at the University of Michigan. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
Throughout her career, Kris has held key positions in various organizations, including her current role as President and CEO at the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. Her previous roles include serving as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget at the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Associate Director of Legislative Affairs at the Office of Management and Budget, the Deputy Director of Policy and Strategic Planning at the Department of Commerce, and as a Professional Staff member at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Additionally, she has worked as a Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Jack Reed, a Legislative Director at the Northeast-Midwest Senate Coalition, and a Community Development Specialist at HUD.
